No. The initial consultation is completely free and carries no obligation. We visit the home, listen to your situation, and provide a quote. You decide whether to proceed — in your own time.

How quickly can you begin?

We work at your pace. If the situation is urgent, we will do our best to accommodate. If you need more time before starting, there is no pressure. We are here when you are ready.

Will anything be removed without my knowledge?

Never. Nothing is moved, donated, or disposed of without your explicit knowledge and consent. Every decision throughout The Sort is yours — we simply facilitate it correctly and with care.

What happens to items that are donated?

Donations are directed to the organisations that need them most — matched carefully to the nature of the items and the wishes of the family.

How are regulated items like firearms handled?

Regulated items follow the correct legal process — strictly and without exception. We have established the appropriate channels to ensure full legal compliance at every step.

Do I need to be present throughout the process?

We prefer to work alongside the family where possible, but we understand this is not always practical. We can discuss what level of involvement suits you during the consultation.

How long does the process take?

Do you work with estate attorneys and executors?

Yes. We have experience working alongside legal professionals and understand the requirements of deceased estate administration. We are happy to discuss referral arrangements directly.
